Roles/Responsibilities  

The SUPPLY CHAIN BPU team is seeking a highly motivated Sr. SDE to lead the performance/load/Non-functional Development and test activities that support Supply Chain business.   As a Sr.SDE, you will be responsible for deeply understanding our clients’ needs, both end-user as well as supply chain solution and platform architects, translating those needs into detailed plans and designs for software engineer consumption, and gaining broad consensus on those plans and designs with a wide variety of constituents.   Key deliverables include development and test plans, coding, validation scripts development, tuning solutions, monitoring production hardware/software, and detailed strategy and planning aspects for the teams to consume and perform necessary actions for performance for the solutions.   Successful candidates will have demonstrated expertise and knowledge in MS technologies like VSTS .NET, Sharepoint, Biz Talk and SQL server and an aptitude for driving technical requirements and finally - and most importantly - a deep interest in maintaining high quality customer Focus.   The candidate will have working knowledge of .Net, ASP, BizTalk, SharePoint Technologies, SQL, and services oriented architecture technologies, along with the ability to integrate with 3rd party off-the-shelf and custom in-house solutions. Experience in implementing business solutions in the Supply Chain domain would be an added advantage. The candidate will need to communicate at many organizational levels, balance daily support needs with long-term strategy, and successfully converting project plans into software reality.   It is desired that the candidate have a demonstrated ability to work successfully in a matrixed organization with multiple customers/owners, along with both direct employees and dotted-line reporting talent.

Roles and Responsibilities

  Partner and influence stakeholders across business and engineering teams, embracing cross-boundary collaboration and driving win-win relationships and results

  Develop design and technology prototypes to prove out concepts, as required

  Bring innovative approaches to the project functional areas that continuously improve our ability to deliver faster, better, and cheaper solution

  Bring efficiencies to the Envisioning and Design phases of complex projects, and gain business and Solutions Delivery trust as a technical authority.

  Demonstrate understanding of business requirements analysis and the ability to utilize technical skills/experience to improve business processes, system feature/functions, usability and performance

  Follow industry best practices for Agile development in a team environment

  Research and keep current on IT trends, technologies and system solutions

  Assist in scoping and planning new projects - identifying degree of fit of with MS technologies and estimating overall timeline/cost for an implementation.

  Provide guidance to the team in troubleshooting issues

  Promote proactive and cooperative relationships within the work group by working collaboratively with business stakeholders, vendors, support, development and test teams

  Work closely with solution management, engineering and architecture teams to deliver high quality services

  Mentor a team of highly motivated developers

  Must have hands on experience in developing the plugins, writing scripts, executing, tuning and debugging the solutions/projects

  Should develop monitoring tools/capabilities/frameworks

  Complete the performance development and tests tasks with right quality and within defined budget for the projects.

  Create strategies/plans and bring performance best practices and ensure Performance related development and testing activities with various groups

  Analyse and Produce comprehensive Estimation / plans / strategies/execution / completion report for Performance development and Testing related activities

  Provide feedback/recommendation on performance monitoring and bottleneck identification of resource utilization of operating systems, network, hardware, platforms using monitoring tools

  Design and mentor those in creating best-in-class performance testing approaches and plans for enterprise-wide projects

  Assist project members with infrastructure and application performance monitoring and analysis

  Work tightly with application development, architecture, infrastructure and engineering groups for performance testing and application analysis initiatives to define success criteria and evaluation methodologies.

  Excellent verbal communications and negotiation skills. Excellent cross group collaboration skills with proven leadership experience of managing multiple virtual/global teams

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  12+ years of experience in system implementation, project management, process analysis, and enterprise level services/systems

  5+ years of experience as a functional lead for a development/engineering team

  Outstanding coding skills in C#/C++ and strong knowledge with OOPS concepts.

  Proven experience working on the Microsoft technology stack in web/windows applications with a combination of any of the technologies like ASP.NET, MVC, WCF, WPF, WF, BizTalk, SharePoint, SQL Server

  Strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms

  Well versed with Design Patterns (GOF Patterns) and Design Principals (SOLID, DRY), Enterprise Integration Patterns

  Strong project management and leadership experience, project planning, risk management and issue resolution skills

  Proven experience driving big and complex projects to successful completion

  Familiar with Lean Scrum Ban or similar agile development/implementation methodologies, and cross-functional engineering practices/excellence. Expertise and knowledge in Agile engineering practices (Continuous Integration, TDD)

  Strong verbal communications and cross-group collaboration skills. Exceptional interpersonal skills, including teamwork, facilitation, and negotiation

  Sound judgment, decision-making skills, and ability to work under continual deadline pressure

  Demonstrable passion for continuous applied learning & development

  Strong creative thinking and problem solving skills with the ability to deal with ambiguity without stalling progress

  Excellent understanding of Engineering Excellence processes and requirements

  Strong knowledge of enterprise application architecture and technologies including web, web services, cloud, distributed and standalone applications and messaging layers.

  Knowledge of SAP or experience in deploying solutions that integrate in an SAP environment is an added advantage
