The role is responsible in supporting the Financial Controller, Central Functions in reporting,  budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis, preparation and issuance of reports to stakeholders and dashboard reporting, supporting Financial Controller, Technology on Technology contractor accounting/invoicing

Key Responsibilities:

Providing support to the Financial Controller – Central Functions on all matters relating to ISF costs like expense analysis, accrual of expenses, FTE analysis;

Assisting the Financial Controller, Central Functions in preparation of budgets and  forecast for ISF, trend and variance analysis for all ISF related cost centres;

Timely preparation and distribution of performance metrics/expense packs and data for Hubs dashboard;

Governance of Technology billing model through clarity & payment process to IT Vendors;

Maintaining expense tracker for expense trend analysis, submission of FTE forward load, Expense analysis for COO’s office;

Providing back up support to the various stakeholders during the times of absence of the Financial Controller – ISF & Financial Controller - Technology

Compile MIS for individual divisions  & prepare  financial performance metrics;

Upload budget and forecast to HFM, LCD maintenance, cost centre maintenance for ISF;

Preparation of India Management pack and packs for stakeholder reporting;

Discussing and replying to all queries relating to Central Functions Finance as may be posed from time to time by stakeholders in Bangalore and Melbourne re the financial results, metrics/expense packs issued

Regularly co-ordinating with the India and Melbourne Finance teams to ensure standardisation, correct and timely reporting and facilitate cross-campus decision making based on effective financial insight

Ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction with the services provided by Central Functions  Finance

Act as trusted business partner

Major Responsibility Area:

Financial Perforamce reporting, analysis and strategy:

Providing assistance & support to the Financial Controller – ISF for accurate, timely and insightful reporting and analysis on financial performance to respective Heads/ Managers of Central Functions and other  stakeholders after seeking their requirements and using specialized skills to draw up a strategy for the same:

Analyse unit results and business drivers, highlight and investigate variances and provide effective input on concerns and challenges  and emerging trends

Prepare and present monthly financial and KPI performance reports

Provide financial advice, recommendations and presentations to/ for various teams within Central Functions

Review the current cost structure/Business model to come up with cost savings/optimization avenues

Financial planning and forecasting strategy:

Assist the Financial Controller – ISF  in drawing up the strategy for timely and accurate financial planning, budgeting and forecasting for Central Functions:

Develop an understanding of the functions’ activities, strategies and emerging trends.

Disseminate planning guidelines and plan templates in the Unit, ensuring adherence to planning and forecasting timetables and consolidating the overall financials.

Ensuring FTE plans and forecasts are realistic and in-line with overall strategy or guidelines issued by leadership team.

Update the plan and forecast into relevant reporting tools (Hyperion) and finalize e-Forms

Consolidating, analysing and presenting the Budget and Forecasts to Central Functions and other BU teams with relevant comparatives and higlighting key cost drivers.

Helping the Central Functions in fixing  budget targets for future periods.

Avoid last minute surprises.

Assisting Technology Finance:

Assist the Financial Controller – Technology Finance in cases of work exigency as a means to leveraging on work capability and optimal utlization of resources within the larger Finance team

Essential experience:

A  professional qualification in accounting (CA/ CPA)  (Or) a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce with not less than 6 years of relevant work experience (management accounting experience)  that would draw upon a range of skills and knowledge for use in addressing major and complex financial business issues.

Extensive specialized management accounting experience (6 years+).

Experience in drawing up a financial reporting strategy and delivering a range of financial reporting requirements including budgeting, monthly reporting, etc.

Experience in strategizing for cost management/ control and cost reduction plans via effective financial reporting and insights

Overseeing or managing governance and compliance activities.

Excellent communication and analytical skills

Adequate presentation skills
